Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, today marked the fifth annual Emirati Women's day with an event at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights.

Under the theme 'Women, Icons of Tolerance', the bank celebrated the efforts and accomplishments of its female Emirati staff and their exceptional contribution to the nation’s development.

To mark the occasion, the bank organised a panel discussion which examined the vital role Emirati women have played in the development of the country. Moderated by Nahid Al Naqbi, Deputy Head of Editorial Content Support at Al Bayan Newspaper, the panel discussion featured prominent Emirati women including Lawyer Nadia Abdel Razzaq, and Jamila Al Ansari, the first Emirati female yoga trainer. The event also included a mini bazaar featuring the works of local women entrepreneurs.
