Dubai Tram
Air-conditioned Bridges

Dubai Tram stations have been linked by four covered & air-conditioned footbridges to serve tram users and residents on both sides of the road. Two footbridges have been constructed on Al Safouh Street, and the other two link Tecom district with the opposite side of the street, and the Dubai Marina Mall in order to provide a safe transport means to cross the street in such a vital area.

The design and construction of these footbridges have taken into account fitting them with air-conditioners, elevators, and escalators in a way harmonious with the aesthetic appearance of the Dubai Tram coaches and stations, and the urban design of the residential districts, besides ensuring a high level of comfort for users by fitting them with elevators and sloping paths to ensure access for special needs and the elderly.

Landscaping the Area

In keeping with the general theme defining Dubai city, the RTA has included gardening and aesthetic works in Dubai Tram project, such as landscaping and irrigation, besides constructing pedestrian paths, cycling lanes and racks, walkways and benches along the tramway.

Roads Network

Improvement works have been made in the roads parallel to the tram track across all districts, including 24 signalized junctions within the Dubai Tram network. Light signals have been installed in all pedestrian crossings, and barriers have also been erected to protect the tram track from vehicles, besides constructing four air-conditioned footbridges to link some stations with the neighboring areas.
