Top 4 Marketing Techniques Explained

There is a lot of debate within the online marketing community over what techniques are acceptable to get website rankings high and staying that way. On the one hand, every website owner wants fast results, repeat customers, and want to stay high in the rankings indefinitely. On the other hand, they want the results to be achieved as quickly as possible, which is understandable, but usually want these said results achieved under unrealistic time frames. There are two set of techniques to help you achieve those results.

The two techniques have been given the designation of white hat and black hat. Both techniques seem to help, and can be easily justified. However, in this particular article, we will deal with only white hat marketing techniques because, although a good argument can be made for the implementation for black hat, most times often the goal is just to drive traffic or people to click on your websites links.

The following 4 white hat marketing techniques are just an overview of how important they are in your marketing strategy:

1. White hat focuses on text and marketing techniques: A common white hat practice is article writing and submissions of that article to submission sites to gain exposure for the article. This is done as a method to not only give the article exposure, but also to build up a following of sorts. This action of people coming back to read more articles or following a website for when new articles come out is the source of your traffic.

2. White hat search techniques focus: The biggest determining factor of what type of marketing technique to use boils down to the focus of the webmaster. What is desired outcome for any work done on the website. White hat techniques focus primarily on following the guidelines set forth by Google for optimizing text on any given page of a website.

3. Targeted Traffic: having a focus on targeted traffic is a parallel focus for using white hat techniques. Targeted traffic means people who are looking for what you have on your website, be it a service or a product, and you are giving them exactly what they want. These repeat customers can indicate a rise in traffic as well, which is the goal for such a strategy.

4. Paid links: Paid links that are advertisements, such as Google Ads Services by UnitedSEO, are an example of the white hat traffic technique. Many times, advertisements are complimentary in nature, but not always. Paid links that offer no value and are not even related to anything can be considered a negative move. Many times, paid links can be added to a specific set of words that also pertain to the link. This way, when someone clicks on a link, you will get value for following that link.

Regardless of whichever marketing technique you choose to utilize, you should start off by looking at what is your focus point and then choose accordingly. Remember that whichever of the two category of techniques(Black hat and white hat) you do choose can have positive or negative consequences to your work.
