Enjaz from Department of Economic Development
The Business Registration Division and the Compliance Division at the Department of Economic Development (DED) have launched the ’Enjaz’ service, which eases business registration procedures.Investors can now finalize applications for processing new trade licences, making amendments to existing licences and cancelling existing licences from their work place. A business-friendly initiative, Enjaz service allows individual corporations and companies to finalize procedures for issuance or cancellation or renewal of trade licenses without visiting the DED office. Under the service, companies can also receive license permits. Customers only need to dial a toll-free number 800-4234 following which their names will be added to the list of daily visits conducted by the DED’s co-ordinators. Employees and coordinators of both the divisions will play a great role in implementing the procedures of the service in a short period of time. Co-ordinators from the Compliance Division will visit the workplaces of customers and receive documents related to their transaction after ascertaining that the customer meets the required criteria. "In today’s world, businesses demand fast-track registration and it is important that we take proactive measures to meet their needs. We have to work together with the private sector to improve our performance and enhance the Department’s reputation for providing best services through the continuous development of our services and by launching new initiatives. Enjaz is a new service that puts the customer first and eases business registration procedures," said Noura Juma, Director of Business Registration at DED. "The DED aims to improve its existing practices to support the private sector and ensure that our programs are linked to the changing needs of the market. The private sector plays a substantial role in the economic growth of the emirate. Enjaz will further improve the support we provide to them and thus sustain the growth of Dubai," added Noura. "The DED launched the new service with the objective of upgrading and easing its trade licensing and business registration procedures to facilitate more investments in Dubai, while reducing the people throughput at its offices," said Mr. Mohamed Hilal Al Muroushedi, Director of Compliance Division at DED. "This is important for the overall economic growth of the nation and positioning the UAE as the region’s international trade and economic hub."
