International Chamber of Commerce UAE
International Chamber of Commerce United Arab Emirates (ICC UAE) Chapter represents the commercial, industrial and business enterprises in the country at a global level. It complements and strengthens the activities of the UAE business community.Founded in 2004, the Chapter endeavours to modernise the UAE industry, business and trade to world-class standards. While encouraging more domestic and foreign investment in the UAE, ICC UAE Chapter deals with national and international legal, financial and administrative matters of its Members. The Chapter, along with the Paris-based International Secretariat of ICC, promotes the scope and reach of the UAE business community around the world.
The Board of Directors is responsible for creating awareness among the Members of ICC UAE Chapter on various legal, finanacial and administrative matters, formulating viewpoints on strategic issues and conveying the views of UAE business community to the International Chamber of Commerce. Dr Ahmad Saif Belhasa is the Chairman, Atiq A Rahman Al Atiq is the Vice Chairman, Saeed Obaid Al Jarwan is the Executive Secretary General, and Rahma Mohammed Al Jarwan is the Honorary Treasurer of ICC UAE Chapter.
The ICC UAE’s services are to encourage its members to participate and making rules during all types of business transactions; to eliminate obstacles and barriers hindering them; and to forge internationally agreed rules and standards that companies adopt, incorporate in binding contracts, and represent the policies advocated by the ICC to the UAE government and its agencies.
