World Confederation of Business recognizes business excellence in UAE
UAE organizations won an impressive 24 prestigious awards at the BIZZ Awards 2013, which were held at the Atlantis in Dubai on Sunday. The event was attended by local, regional, and international guests, and celebrated global business excellence in what was a glittering gala night. ’THE BIZZ’ an impressive accolade, went to the following Emirati organizations: Dubai Police General H.Q; Emirates Identity Authority; Tamdeed Projects (Etisalat Service Holding); Iranian Hospital Dubai; Valtrans Transporation Systems and Services LLC; Emirates Environmental Group; Pelikan Middle East FZE; Abu Dhabi International Centre for Organisational Excellence; London American City Collete; Stride Constructions Co. LLC; Davant Data System LLC; Air Tron LLC; Hactc Canada LLC; Emirates Fire Fighting Equipment Factory (FIREX); Wayira Group; and Just Will Al Wasiyya JLT.The prestigious ’BE A LEGEND’ Award went to Zed Communications and Al Adil Training Co. Meanwhile ’BEYOND SUCCESS’ award went to Merryland International School and Abu Dhabi University, North Tours, Nikai Group, Avant Holding and Al Mariah United Group all scooped the ’PEAK OF SUCCESS’ Award.
Winners this year included 20 countries from the Americas, 20 from Africa, 20 from Europe, 20 from Asia, and a staggering 50 from the Middle East. Involvement in this year’s event included an impressive host of countries reflecting the global nature of the awards. These included Oman, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Peru, Romania, India, South Africa, Bolivia, Chad, Mozambique, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Kenya, Hungary, Russia, Montenegro, Botswana, Nigeria, Congo, Zimbabwe, Mauritius and Mexico.
The winners of THE BIZZ succeeded in setting themselves apart for their ability to maintain high standards of business leadership, management systems, quality in goods or services, innovation and creativity, CSR etc and demonstrating their excellent business practices.
This is the third time that WORLDCOB has organized this award ceremony in the Middle East. In 2009, it was held in Dubai at the Burj Al Arab and in 2012 it was held in Qatar at Sharq Village and Spa.
Commenting Michael L. Bellido, VP of the World Confederation of Businesses said: "This year’s awards were held in the Middle East for the third time and the second year in succession. Last year we were in Qatar and previously Dubai. We are very impressed by the business excellence in this region and we have enjoyed the warmth of Arabian hospitality."
