The Underrated Attractions of Dubai

Dubai has, beyond doubt, succeeded in becoming one of the most impressive tourist destinations in the Asia - North Africa region. While it can atributed to various factors: central location for flight layovers, breathtaking futuristic infrastructure, range of luxury experiences, it’s the efforts of Sheikh Mohammed and the Dubai Government that must be lauded. Dubai Tourism recorded a record 15.8 million people visiting in the first nine months of 2017.

So what do most tourists do in Dubai?
A huge number of these tourists stick to the run-of-the-mill to-do’s in Dubai. If you’re one of them, you’ll probably be spending an evening by the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall to view the the Fountain show, book a Desert Safari (bleh!) or get a Dhow Cruise (bleh! x2). It’s most important to NOT travel Dubai (like any other country) with a planned tour package or you’ll be witnessing...

The List of Top 10 Things To Do in Dubai (as per TripAdvisor)
● Dubai Fountains
● Burj Khalifa
● The Dubai Mall
● Aquaventure Waterpark
● Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo
● Off-road Tours, City Tours, Boat Tours, Sightseeing Tours
● Gurunanak Darbar Sikh Temple

And the list goes on with overrated destinations. It fails to include Dubai’s latest attractions among the top destinations. such as Dubai Parks & Resorts (#73 as of now), IMG Worlds of Adventure (#89), Box Park (#91). TripAdvisor sure needs a lot of clean-up considering this is the case in other countries too. But then again, it’s community-driven.

What’s wrong with that?
Nothing at all! Other than that you’d be missing out on a lot, especially, in Dubai.
Don’t stick to online resources alone to find the best places to visit in Dubai.
1. Scroll down and browse through the TripAdvisor list and check Google reviews against them.
2. Speak to a resident in Dubai. It’s super-easy to strike a conversation. So don’t hold back. Most of the current residents visited Dubai as tourists and planned to stay back.

The car is delivered to your location across Dubai and even at the airport as you arrive. Note, you need to be above the age of 25 so insurance is covered.

Reasonable as it’s cheaper when compared to other tourist cities across the world:
● Ferrari 458 Spyder (2016 model) costs just AED 2500 ($680) for an entire day
● Lamborghini Huracan Coupe (2018) costs AED 3200 () for 24 hours
● Porsche 718 Boxster convertible (2017) costs AED 1000 ($272) per day
