Dubai Press Club
The Dubai Press Club was established in November 1999. The aim of the Dubai Press Club is to foster interaction among journalists and media professionals from around the world, to promote exchange of ideas between the newsmakers and the news communicators, and to create a world-class facility that fosters pursuit of journalistic excellence.
In a relatively short period of time the Dubai Press Club has established itself as an important forum where Presidents, Prime Ministers and other leading political and business leaders address and meet the regional and international media professionals.
The Dubai Press Club has launched the Arab world’s first journalism awards, the Arab Journalism Award. These awards recognize and stimulate the pursuit of journalistic excellence in Arabic media.
The Dubai Press Club is also the General Secretariat and one of the founding members of the
International Association of Press Clubs. This networking puts the Dubai Press Club in a select league of international Press Clubs and enables members of the Dubai Press Club to interact with their peers and colleagues from around the world.
A number of Media Summits have also been organised by the Dubai Press Club. These Summits bring the who’s-who from the world of media to Dubai.
The Club provides excellent business and social facilities for its members.
Indeed, the Dubai Press Club is now a thriving forum for exchange of ideas. It is an integral part of the media industry in the Middle East and is contributing to the emergence of Dubai as a worldwide information and media hub
