2nd Annual Dance Event: 11-12 June 2009
The event will be held at the Centre Point theatre, DUCTAC – Mall of Emirates. Over 20 hours of Workshops will be offered throughout Friday, June 12th 2009 at three different halls at the Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre , from Salsa, to Bachata, Belly dancing, Hip Hop, African Dance, Brazilian Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Live percussions, and Tango. Participants will able to experience different rhythms and styles, with some of the Region’s best instructors. Beginners, Improvers and Advanced levels will be available to ensure everyone’s experience is enjoyable. The workshops are for all levels, to include beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers; who aspire to learn, refine and style their basic moves in different forms of dance, whether Salsa or Tap Dance. The objective of the workshop is to give dance dreamers and lovers an exclusive opportunity to learn from some of the best talents. Shows featuring “The land of Terracania, The dance spirits of the Amazon & some of the best student performances of the year. One of Europe’s leading choreographers, Mr. Eric Lalta & Ahmed Salsa have put together this amazing show that will captivate the audience with powerful dance routines, magical effects and costumes that guarantee to take your breath away. A Festival isn’t a Festival without its parties, so there are 3 nights of fiestas and parties, allowing Performers, Instructors and Participants to dance the night away to our various DJ’s favorite tracks. The Party Venues: Welcome Party - June 10th, 2009 El Malecon, Dubai Marine Beach Resort. 9pm onwards Costume Party - June 11th, 2009 PM Bar, Ibis Hotel - Sheikh Zayed Road. 9pm onwards Dress to Impress Party - June 12th, Attend the party @ PM Bar Ibis Hotel. Dress code: Dress to impress. 10.30pm onwards Closing Party - June 13th, Attend the party @ Zinc, Crown Plaza Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road.
