SEGA Republic to open soon in Dubai Mall
The largest SEGA Republic theme park of its kind in the Middle East region has laid out the physical infrastructure with only finishing touches to be completed. Spread over two levels, SEGA Republic has five zones with something for everyone - from the adrenaline rush of fast-paced attractions to the thrill of cutting-edge motion simulators and the family-oriented fun of carnival games, redemption games and competitive tests of skill. The Speed Zone offers keenly awaited attractions such as the freefall drop ride SONIC HOPPER and the motion simulators STORM-G, INITIAL D4 LIMITED, and OUTRUN 2 SPECIAL TOURS SDX. The main attraction of the Sports Zone is HALFPIPE CANYON, a high-tech snowboarding half-pipe that gives riders the thrill of throttling up and down a 7-metre incline at speeds of up to 40 kms per hour, scoring points for performing various spins. Nearby, the Adventure Zone showcases indoor rollercoaster SPIN GEAR, along with the virtual experiences WILD WING, WILD JUNGLE and LET’S GO JUNGLE! SPECIAL. The Cyberpop and Redemption Zones host one of the region’s largest selection of amusement games, with the latter offering the chance to win from an extensive array of 200 different prizes. SEGA Republic complements KidZania®, another leisure concept to open shortly at the mall, and the 22-screen Reel Cinemas, thus offering a larger breadth of leisure experiences for visitors. The new leisure complexes will be located in close proximity to each other in the mall’s entertainment precinct, with direct access from the car park for the convenience of visitors. The entertainment precinct strengthens the successful leisure roster at the mall including Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo with over 33,000 aquatic animals and the world’s largest acrylic viewing panel; the Olympic-sized Dubai Ice Rink and The Dubai Fountain, the world’s tallest performing fountain.
