Luxury at a Height of 260 meters, the Largest Ferris Wheel is Being Built in Dubai
Bigger, higher, further: If a new project is created in Dubai, then it's usually with a superlative. Dubai, the city of the United Arab Emirates known for its splendour, is where you can find the world's largest building, the Burj Khalifa. Dubai is now home to the largest Ferris wheel on earth due to open in 2018. Ain Dubai (in English, Dubai Eye) on Bluewater Island is taking shape slowly. The Ferris wheel is designed to symbolise the pioneering and innovation encapsulated by the city of Dubai.
48 capsules will allow 1,400 visitors a breath-taking view over Dubai. Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa, and Jumeirah Palm Island are just some of the highlights to be admired during the 45-minute ride. In addition, the Ferris wheel visitors are given a guide of Dubai through a 4D projection. The new Ferris wheel is built on Bluewater Island, an artificially created island. The island is accessible from Sheikh Zayed Road via a bridge by car or by Monorail. The model for the new Dubai Eye is the London Eye, which has been in the heart of London, England since 2000. Once used as the Millennium Wheel, celebrating the turn of the millennium, the Ferris wheel has become a true tourist attraction. The Island will also include theme parks and what is planned to be the world’s largest shopping mall. Not only that but Bluewater Island will include zones for retail, hospitality and residential zones very similar to Las Vegas; though, surprisingly no mention has been made so far with regard to casinos featuring in the complex but, don’t worry, because if you miss that Las Vegas-style casino experience, it is one click away. Websites like the bitcoin-only Vegas Casino have games that can be played anywhere, including travel themed slots like 5 Star Luxury and Arabia.
The project called Ain Dubai would literally overshadow everything that has hitherto been present: the London Eye is just 135 meters high and the previous world record holder, the High Roller in Las Vegas, measures 167 meters. From a height of 201 meters, the view over the seven-star hotel "Burj Al Arab", the artificial islands of Palm Jumeirah and the 830 meters high Burj Khalifa - the whole gigantomania of Dubai - is visible. A park with various attractions, restaurants, and hotels is to be built around the Dubai Eye, as the news portal Emirates24/7 reports. The large cabins of the "Ain Dubai" offer visitors - as it should be - unimagined booths and pompoms: with parquet floors, tables, sofas and more; they almost look like a real living room in the middle of the clouds. Ain Dubai guests can visit a 4-D cinema underneath the Ferris wheel and get some interesting facts about the city. There are also several restaurants and hotels, which make the journey on the 260-metre high giant a perfect holiday. A very special attraction is almost the outside of the Ferris wheel, with a giant, circular display with a diameter of 80 meters. A trip with the Ferris wheel in the Emirate would take 48 minutes.
The construction company Starneth, which is involved in the construction of the Dubai Eye, published a video on its YouTube channel, which says that this giant Ferris wheel will annually attract up to three million visitors a year. Let’s wait and see…
