Vice President, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince lead procession as Qasr Al Hosn Festival opens

The celebration was also attended by Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Ajman His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, His Highness Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Dhiyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation His Highness Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates Group His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Transport Department Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Sheikhs, senior officials and citizens.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed attended an interactive show that narrated the story of Abu Dhabi.

Upon their arrival, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed were greeted with folklore songs glorifying the country and its leadership.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and other Sheikhs joined the traditional Ayala dance show which reflects Emirati's pride over their homeland, leaders and forefathers.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed toured the different sections and viewed photos of people and places in old Abu Dhabi. He also visited 'Qasr Al Hosn Exhibition' which narrates the story of Abu Dhabi and its connection with the Qasr al Hosn as the first landmark building in the island.

Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak said that Qasr Al Hosn symbolises the past and present glories of the UAE. He added that the festival's visitors will learn more about Emirati identity and the efforts being made for the restoration of Qasr al Hosn.
